SDC Trailers

SDC Trailers enlisted Extract Technology to assess the current containment equipment and review the compliancy, ergonomics, Documentation, Training of staff and PPE requirements on the newly installed automated Truck Chassis paint line and the installation of three replacement static Spray Booths.

The three phased project was developed with phase one concentrating of the existing issues highlighted by the initial site survey, encompassing the ATEX compliancy, ergonomics of the operation, re-validation and documentation.

The second phase involved the project management of the installation of 3 new down flow booths both for the Priming and Top coating of booths with multi-faceted Airflow Temperature and volume regimes.

The final phase was to validate and document the whole system and create log books to enable the on-going support of the installation, along with training and certification of the staff and develop a culture of on-going improvement to increase the throughput of trailers over the next number of years.
