Kirklees College Process Manufacturing Centre Project in Huddersfield
We’re happy to say the Downflow Booth we committed to refurbish for the Process Manufacturing Centre in Huddersfield is coming along nicely. Last month Craig Kitchen from Projex Solutions and Brian Lawson, Head of Process Manufacturing at Kirklees College visited Extract’s office to inspect progress on the works.
This is what he had to say after his visit (see his post on Linkedin):
Several months ago while we were trying to gather support for companies to donate equipment we found a rather tired down flow booth. On closer examination of the original commissioning documentation I spotted Paul Hudson’s signature. A number of years later Paul is Operations Director at Extract Technology based in Huddersfield, who are keen supporter of Kirklees College and the Process Manufacturing Center (PMC). Follow a short discussion and some reminiscing of the original installation; Paul agreed to refurbish the unit as a donation to the PMC project.
On Friday, Craig Kitchen from Projex Solutions and myself went along to Extract’s impressive workshop to inspect progress. Paul and his ‘ace apprentices’ (pictured above) have now refurbished the unit and it’s almost ready for installation into the materials handling area of the PMC – A big ‘thank you’ Paul and your team, looking forward to the results of the final polishing!
Meanwhile the Process Manufacturing Centre hosted a Tree Planting Ceremony for all supporters:
Our great apprentices are be installing the booth under Paul Hudson’s supervision on Thursday and Friday this week. What a fantastic example of Apprentices of Today Working for Apprentices of Tomorrow!
