In 2018, Extract Technology achieved the newest ISO 9001:2015 standard, and recently, we have been reaccredited with this award!
The reaccreditation was project managed by Gurnam Singh, IT/QA Officer and was held internally via virtual calls with the NQA Auditor, Susan Sanders over 2 days in November. The business had to provide a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate compliance against the ISO clauses in preparation to achieve a successful reaccreditation. Working closely with the ETL UK Leadership and QA team, Gurnam showcased all the hard work the company had achieved since receiving the ISO 9001:2015 standard in 2018.
Gurnam Singh said, “I would like to thank all those involved, directly and indirectly for their time and assistance as the business had to demonstrate compliance for the full ISO clause over this reaccreditation visit. Since our last surveillance visit in January 2020, the QA Team working closely with the ETL UK Leadership has been preparing for this visit; going back to basics reviewing all business processes, documentation and key review meetings in the QA system, so it’s great to see the fruits of our labour”.
The efforts towards this achievement were strongly supported by the company’s Finance Director, Jason Armitage, who commented “The recent ISO 9001:2015 reaccreditation was a key part of our business strategy to ensure that our quality management process and procedures are as innovative as our product range. 2020 was a year to go back to basic principles and we have taken an opportunity to review, simplify, and update all processes of the business, capturing all opportunities to improve and ensuring the quality standard is at the heart of our culture. In addition, we have used the reaccreditation as a learning and development tool feeding into our culture of continuous improvement.
Gurnam and the team have provided a real drive and energy to ensure that ISO 9001 has been fully embedded throughout the business.
Gurnam worked closely with ETL’s UK Leadership and QA team to ensure that the quality standard included an increased focus on risk management, continuous improvement, leadership and management commitment.
This is a great accomplishment for the business, and is testament to the hard work and dedication shown by Gurnam and the Team in an extremely challenging year.”
Well done to all!
