Building on their reputation as a leading and innovative manufacturer of Aseptic Isolators, Extract Technology (ETL) designed and manufactured a three chamber Cell Culture Isolator for the Finnish Red Cross Blood Service (FRCBS) Helsinki.
The first chamber is an airlock for material transfer in and out of the Isolator. The centre chamber is used for open phases of cell culture procedures, this chamber houses an integrated fridge and cell incubators. The last chamber contains a microscope and centrifuge. The Isolator achieves a Grade A (iso5) micro environment internally and is designed to be gassed using HPV via Bioquell generator.
The successful project was achieved by the close working relationship between ETL, FRCBS, Bioquell and agent Freddy Lund. All parties commitment during the life of the project resulted in an excellent result.
